Illustrations by George Cruikshank

Facsimile of wrapper of first complete edition Sketches by Boz, Dickens first book, was a collection of sketches he had written for various magazines between 1833 and 1836. The first publication of the collection appeared in 1836 with 10 illustration by George Cruikshank. Through several iterations of publication Cruikshank eventually supplied 40 illustrations etched on copper.
